Privacy Policy
Summary
WattsConnected collects no personal information and does not run analytics or other data collection software on your machine. All charging history is stored locally on your Mac.
Data we collect
None. WattsConnected does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with us or any third party. The app does not require an account.
Data stored on your Mac
WattsConnected stores the following on your local machine, using macOS's standard preferences storage. None of this is ever transmitted:
- Your preferences (such as auto-start at login and the "group same-model chargers" setting)
- A history of charging sessions, including start and end times, battery percentages, and the wattage and identifier of the charger reported by your Mac
You can clear this data at any time from inside the app, or by removing the application.
Network access
WattsConnected does not connect to the internet. It does not phone home, check for updates over the network, or send any information off your Mac.
Billing
Billing is managed by the Mac App Store. Payment information is not shared with WattsConnected.
Required Reason API disclosures
As required by Apple, WattsConnected declares the following use of Required Reason APIs:
- UserDefaults — used to store the app's local preferences and charging history on your Mac (reason code CA92.1).
